Pregnancy and nursing change the body. Some of these changes are predictable. Others are surprising. All can be addressed through mommy makeover surgery.

Issues like stubborn fat deposits, loose and sagging skin, stretch marks, deflated and dropping breasts, and even medical concerns like diastasis recti are all possible following pregnancy. And, while some of these issues may respond to dietary changes or increased exercise, reclaiming your pre-pregnancy body is often all but impossible without assistance.

What is Included in the Mommy Makeover?

Mommy makeover surgery utilizes a combination of techniques to address how pregnancy has impacted the body. Because each woman is different, no two mommy makeover procedures are identical. However, most include:

  • Breast Surgery. Such as breast lift to address sagging breast tissue and nipple displacement, and breast augmentation to restore lost volume and improve symmetry.
  • Body Surgery. Such as liposuction to remove all stubborn fat deposits from the body, tummy tuck to eliminate excess skin around the midsection and restore the abdominal wall, and various body lift techniques to remove excess skin from legs, arms, and more.
  • Labiaplasty. Feminine rejuvenation involves reshaping labial tissue to restore comfort and pleasure while improving hygiene and producing an ideal shape.

Even though each mommy makeover is unique, all have the potential to enhance clothing options, increase range of motion, improve physical and emotional comfort, and instill a greater sense of self-confidence. During your initial consultation, Dr. Young will listen to your desires, discuss your options, and help you understand how this procedure could benefit you.

How Old Do I Have to Be for a Mommy Makeover?

Age has less to do with your candidacy for a mommy makeover than other considerations, chiefly your plans for children in the future. Because subsequent pregnancies will undo your mommy makeover results, the best candidates for the procedure are women who do not plan on having more children.

Dr. Young is a board-certified and experienced plastic surgeon who cares deeply about each patient he sees. During your consultation at our Leawood office, he will carefully evaluate your candidacy for the procedure to help you determine when it is best to consider surgery.

Please call Advanced Cosmetic Surgery at 913-341-2188 to schedule a consultation with Dr. Young. We serve Kansas City, Overland Park, and all nearby communities.
