What is Recovery Like After Breast Surgery?
While small details in each breast surgery differ from others, the general recovery period involves many of the same sensations and restrictions. Your post-op care instructions will discuss when you can shower, how to care for your incisions while they heal, and which activities you must avoid. In general, breast surgery patients must avoid lifting or holding heavy objects. Strenuous physical activity must be strictly avoided for six to eight weeks.
