What is Restylane?

Restylane® fillers utilize hyaluronic acid to add volume to the face, décolletage, and hands. Fillers from the Restylane family that Dr. Young offers include:

Restylane DEFYNE

This filler is used to eliminate moderate to severe laugh lines. Restylane DEFYNE can produce results for up to 12 months.

Restylane KYSSE

This filler is used to add volume to the lips and address wrinkling around the mouth. Restylane KYSSE can produce results for up to nine months.

Restylane LYFT

This filler addresses skin laxity on the chin, along the jawline, in the cheeks, and on the bridge of the nose. LYFT was the first dermal filler approved for treating wrinkles and skin laxity on the back of the hands. Restylane LYFT can produce results for up to 12 months.

Restylane REFYNE

This filler addresses smile and laugh lines around the lips and mouth. Restylane REFYNE can produce results for 18 months.

Restylane SILK

This filler adds volume to the lips and addresses wrinkles around the mouth. The very first lip augmentation filler approved by the FDA, Restylane SILK, can produce results for up to six months.

Candidates for Restylane

Candidates for Restylane include individuals unhappy with the appearance of their aging skin. Most patients come in with age-related concerns regarding the loss of volume or the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles on their skin. The best way to determine if you are a good candidate for Restylane is through a consultation with one of the injectors at Advanced Cosmetic Surgery. During a private consultation, one of our experts will review your medical history and cosmetic goals and curate a treatment plan for you based on your needs.

Restylane Procedure

Before your Restylane injectable treatment begins, your treatment area will be gently cleaned by one of our professional injectors. Your injector may create markups on your treatment area. They will then carefully inject your desired Restylane formulation into the treatment area. Restylane products contain lidocaine to help improve patient comfort. You will feel minimal pain; however, slight pressure may be experienced in the targeted treatment area.

Restylane Recovery and Results

  • 1-3 DAYS
  • HIGH ACTIVITY

After your injection, you can resume your usual day-to-day activities. Some swelling, redness, and bruising are possible in the days following treatment. Depending on the Restylane injection you have had, your results should last up to six to eighteen months. Maintenance appointments are highly recommended if you want to maintain your treatment results.
