What Is an OxyGeneo® Facial?

The OxyGeneo® facial is a three-in-one treatment that combines topical exfoliation with deep oxidation and antioxidant infusion to improve the appearance and quality of the skin. Non-irritating, this treatment utilizes proprietary and patented technology to send oxygen-rich blood to the treatment area, helping to encourage smoother, healthier, and more attractive skin.

What Conditions Can an OxyGeneo® Facial Treat?

OxyGeneo® can be used to treat a wide variety of common skin conditions, including:

  • Fine Lines & Deep Wrinkles
  • Sun Damage
  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Enlarged Pores
  • Textural Irregularities
  • General Dullness

OxyGeneo® can also be used to treat active acne.

The best way to learn if OxyGeneo® is the right fit for your concerns is through a one-on-one consultation at our office.

Who Is an Ideal Candidate for Treatment?

If you have common skin concerns and are looking for the least invasive method of treatment, OxyGeneo® may be a great fit for your needs. Non-invasive, non-irritating, and safe for all skin types and tones, the largest determining factor for candidacy is whether or not the service is capable of addressing your specific concerns and assisting you in reaching your ultimate goals.

The OxyGeneo® Facial Procedure

The OxyGeneo® Facial Treatment is a three-part procedure that includes:

  1. Gentle Exfoliation with Geneo OxyPod and Geneo Primer Gel. This helps to start the oxygenation process within the skin
  2. Oxygenation through the triggering of the body’s natural process of producing oxygen. This helps prepare the skin to absorb the nutrients supplied in the third part of the process
  3. Nourishment with proprietary, antioxidant-rich products delivered through ultrasound and neo-massage processes

Treatment takes between 30 and 60 minutes and requires neither preparation nor downtime. You should be able to come in, undergo treatment, and get on with your day without any problems at all.

How Does the OxyGeneo Facial Treat Hyperpigmentation?

Hyperpigmentation is a skin condition where patches of skin become darker than the surrounding area. This condition occurs when melanin, a substance our body produces pigmentation for the skin, creates a deposit within the skin. An OxyGeneo Facial can help treat this condition by exfoliating the skin. Exfoliation removes dead skin cells on the surface of your skin, which can reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation.

Once your skin has finished exfoliating, your skin will then be infused with a serum with active ingredients, such as vitamin C and kojic acid. These ingredients are known to be skin brighteners and even out skin tones. After having your skin infused with the serum, it is time for the oxygenation process.

This is what gives the OxyGeneo Facial its own unique identity in the world of facial rejuvenation. By creating an environment rich in CO2, it triggers a response known as the Borse effect. This causes the skin's oxygenation process and leads to faster cell regeneration and healing.

How Does the OxyGeneo Facial Compare to a Chemical Peel?

Both the OxyGeneo Facial and chemical peels are fantastic treatments for smoother, clearer skin. However, they are vastly different from each other. A chemical peel uses potent chemicals to peel the skin and grow new, healthier skin cells. There are multiple types of chemical peels you can get, such as light, medium, and deep. These tackle specific layers of the skin, with deep chemicals being the most intense.

However, by inflaming and peeling away the skin, chemical peels leave your skin vulnerable to outside elements for a period of time. The OxyGeneo Facial uses oxygen and active ingredients to revitalize and nourish your skin without putting you at risk. Dr. Young will assess your skin quality during your consultation to determine the best course of action.
