What is Dysport?

Dysport is an injectable neuromodulator treatment formulated with the neurotoxin botulinum toxin to halt muscle movement that contributes to wrinkles and fine lines. The injections can prevent wrinkling before it begins and can minimize the look of wrinkles or halt them from deepening.

Dysport Procedure 

Your Dysport procedure will be performed in the office at Advanced Cosmetic Surgery by one of our expert injectors. This on-site treatment requires less than 30 minutes of your time, allowing you to receive treatment during your lunch break. Your procedure may begin with the application of a topical anesthetic to minimize any discomfort. During your procedure, your doctor will gently inject the formulation in five different injection sites around the forehead and eyebrow areas.     

Dysport Recovery and Results

After your Dysport treatment, you can resume your daily activities as usual. Although you may experience mild side effects post-treatment, no recovery time is necessary. Side effects after your procedure are temporary, lasting only a few days, and include swelling, redness, and itchiness in the treatment area. It is essential to avoid contact with the area immediately after treatment because this can cause the toxin to spread to unintended areas, altering your results.

Your results after treatment will begin to emerge after two days. Your full results should appear within one week and are long-lasting, offering up to four months of effectiveness. Since these treatments are not permanent, you should schedule maintenance appointments as your results begin to fade.
