Chemical Peels at Advanced Cosmetic Surgery
At our Leawood office, we offer both SkinMedica® and Vitality Institute (VI) peels. These include both minimally invasive mild peels and more advanced medium-depth peels. The type of peel that will best meet your needs is dependent on several factors such as your cosmetic concerns and your ultimate goals. It is important to remember that it may take more than one treatment for peels to produce optimal results and that there could be a short recovery period depending on the depth of peel you choose.
While mild chemical peels are safe for most people with light or fair skin, good candidates for medium peels may need to be in generally good health and able to take a bit of time to recover. It shouldn’t be necessary to take time off from work following a chemical peel, but redness, tenderness, and skin peeling are possible following medium peels and may require additional skin care for several weeks.
